Commercial & Municipal

I understand the value in assets that you manage, the tangible benefits that trees offer to the landscape you manage:

  • Air Quality
  • Property Value
  • Erosion Control
  • Shading & Screening
  • Stormwater Retention
  • Snow Fencing/Wind Rows
  • Concrete Preservation
  • Pollutant Mitigation
  • Business Promotion
  • Health & Wellness

Without adequate training, knowing where to begin guiding resources and investments can be difficult.

When do we plant?
When do we prune?
What species will succeed in a boulevard?
How do we tell which trees supersede our documented risk tolerance level and which do not, and what do we do about it?

These are common questions with answers that will impact the people you serve. Further, applying the right answers to these questions, generally costs less than applying the wrong ones.

Pruning at the wrong time may expose percentages of your tree population to disease, leaving you left with the decision of whether to pay for expensive annual treatments or to let them slowly decline and replace them once they're gone. Either of these choices are far more expensive than just knowing when it's safe to prune each species relative to their pathogens' life cycles.

I would love the opportunity to learn about your resources and the canopy you manage in the interest of building a specific curriculum to fit your needs.

From how to build and manage a GIS inventory of the trees you manage to how to plant a row of trees and facilitate their care; I can reduce your grounds budget while increasing the safety and health of your landscape.

I've trained Municipal Street Maintenance staff on how to safely prune to address street and sidewalk clearance issues. I've trained HOA board members how to identify, assess, and manage risks of large mature trees in their neighborhood.

And I've worked with business owners that have successfully cut property maintenance costs by coordinating with their office staff to care for the green space surrounding their building. The office staff reported feeling a new sense of ownership in their place of employment and as a result a renewed sense of pride in their work.

I think you deserve to enjoy the same sense of pride in taking agency of your green space. And I would like to teach you how to manage what you have, given your resources!
